What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address. When you create a list we collect your name, occasion, event date, and any items you add. When a buyer claims an item we collect their name and optionally their email address for reminders.
How we use it
We use your email to identify your account and send you transactional emails — confirmations, reminders, and reveal notifications. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Buyer emails are only used to send the reminders they opt into.
Affiliate links
Some product links on BuddyWish are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep BuddyWish free.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Third parties
We use Supabase for our database and authentication, and Vercel for hosting. Both are reputable services with strong privacy practices. We use Google OAuth for sign in — Google's privacy policy applies to that process.
Your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@buddywish.com. We'll process your request within 7 days.
